Lovely cafe just 5 mins from TCR tube. service was amazingly efficient. Nice and quiet enough to catch one's thoughts in busy London.
We visited this costa before going to the Dominion theatre. All we wanted was a few coffees, Monika the lady serving us seemed new and it took forever for her to serve us. Unfortunately everytime she tried to take a payment she failed to do it correctly, after the 3rd try she blamed the card machine. I then tried to use my costa rewards as I have five free coffees, she told me that their machines had gone down and I couldn't use them. I would have been happy to pay but after asking her that surely she could do something she got angry and continued to tell us that the costa app machine being down wasn't her problem. Very rude and terrible service!
Very bad customer-service! I have never felt so bad as a customer. Never before. Never again Costa! I was asked about my order by two female employees. While I was telling them my order, both employees looked away, laughed at me, and just took another customer's turn. So I was ignored and laughed at in the middle of my order for no reason at all. My girlfriend tried the next attempt. The third employee, a young man who was operating the coffee machine, noticed my situation and gave me a free chocolate as a small gesture. I have really never experienced anything like this!
